Mother’s Brewing Company is committed to creating heady craft beers that you can share with your friends, family, and neighbors. In their Tasting Room and Backyard you can sample all of the beers they’re currently brewing up, and on Saturday afternoons they offertours of the brewery to show visitors where the magic happens. Mother’s also partners with the Moxie Cinema to offer Friday Flix, a superb combination of great movies and great beer. From late spring to early fall, this event is held in Mother’s Backyard and the Tasting Room is open throughout the show.
No one can deny that Springfield Brewing Company boasts local pride—it’s right there in the name! Doubling as a restaurant, Brew Co(as it’s more commonly known) is the perfect place to go if you wantsatisfying food alongside a flavorful pint of beer. The two-story establishment hosts a variety of entertainment as well, including live music and trivia nights. If you’ve never had the pleasure of tastingtheir beers, try ordering the beer sampler, which includes six 4 oz. glasses of the brewery’s craft ales and lagers.
The newest brewery in town, White River Brewing Company is a small-batch brewery that specializes in traditional European beers with an Ozarks twist. Their beers are reminiscent of the high-quality brews you might find in Belgium, Germany, or Great Britain. Although this brewery isn’t located downtown, it’s worth the trip to nearby Commercial Street. The White River Tap Room is open five days a week (Wednesday to Sunday), though you will need to check the website for exact hours.

Although we certainly recommend that you stop by the fine establishments brewing and serving these local beers, don’t forget that many neighborhood hotspots in Park East serve your favorite "Springfieldian" brews. If you want to pick up a six-pack on your way home, stop by the Bistro Market. Or, if you’d rather spend your night out on the town, try Big Whiskey’s or Dublin’s Pass for some fine food alongside your favorite brews.
